Dementia était un groupe de death metal canadien officiant à la fin des années 80. Voilà maintenant leurs morceaux réédités en vinyle.
Formed August 1987 as Xanimation, early songs included "Necrocide", "Gilto", and "Second Death". Late fall '87 the line-up solidified, "Second Death" remained part of the set and the band name changed to Dementia.
Dementia recorded a two song rehearsal demo January 24th, 1988 on borrowed sound equipment. The demo tape was distributed in a quantity of no more than 20 copies, receiving positive reviews in Brain Dead Fanzine (Ontario) and Sponsored Death (Victoria). The demo later spread throughout the tape-trading network, and has recently gained interest from Nuclear War Now! Productions, which have planned a 7"EP retrospective of the group.
