La réédition 2011 de la troisième démo de Behemoth, ...From the Pagan Vastlands arrive en version vinyle gatefold splatter ultra limité!
Une démo de très bonne qualité, qui ravira tous les nostalgiques (et ils sont nombreux) de la grande époque. (...) Behemoth n’apporte là rien de nouveau à cette scène en pleine émergence, l’artwork de la pochette ou encore les « corpsepaints » n’étant que d’autres exemples externes. Mais les Polonais assument pleinement, pour preuve cette reprise à la dernière piste de cette démo qui est la reprise de l’hymne « Deathcrush » de Mayhem. Fidèle à l’original, voir égalable, elle permet de clôturer de très bonne manière cette démo. Ce groupe, parmi d’autres il est vrai, permet au black, telle une horde noire, de s’étendre progressivement dans toute l’Europe... (La horde noire)

There had been a long hard road out of hell until the cursed day when the furious intensity of the Eastern beast, set up by Nergal, the main man behind the band, struck the world in mid 1991. Following the paths of the ancient heroes like VENOM, early FROST or first Norwegian black metal acts, Behemoth started their unearthly existence with a couple of raw and primitive rehearsal tapes (“Endless Damnation”) and demos (“The Return of the northern moon”), the most significant of which was the second one – “From the pagan vastlands” (1993), showing the growing potential of the main composer/writer. All those releases are strictly limited with refreshed lay-out and original graphics. (Witching hour)
